Arsenal trolled on Twitter after praising ‘brilliant support’ of four fans and a flag ahead of AC Milan clash
Those who made the trip to the San Siro did not leave disappointed as Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Aaron Ramsey put their side into a commanding position in their Europa League tie
ARSENAL'S attempt to praise their "brilliant support" in Milan failed miserably.
Ahead of the Gunners' Europa League win over AC Milan, their official Twitter account posted a video of four supporters holding a flag.
Alongside the video with a backdrop of the famous Milan Cathedral was the caption: "We've seen some brilliant support so far."
But apart from the three men and one woman holding the bright yellow flag, there appeared to be no sign of any other Arsenal fans.
MASTERCLASS AC Milan 0 Arsenal 2: Gunners end losing streak in style thanks to first half goals from Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Aaron Ramsey
And Twitter users were quick to pick up on it.
One Arsenal supporter wrote: "3 people holding an arsenal banner is brilliant? Bet it said Wenger out too and u changed it."
Another joked: "Brilliant support? Stop lying."
But those who did attend the San Siro were in for a treat.
Arsenal produced a masterclass to cruise past the sleeping Italian giants and come back to London with a two-goal advantage.
Henrikh Mkhitaryan opened his Arsenal account to get the Gunners on their way after 15 minutes.
Aaron Ramsey then latched on to Mesut Ozil's wonderful pass through the heart of defence before rounding the keeper to double their advantage.
It was a much-needed performance for boss Arsene Wenger after four straight defeats piled huge amounts of pressure on the Frenchman.
