PAUL POGBA has given Manchester United a massive injury scare with a gashed leg.
The Prem’s most expensive player picked up the problem in training today and will have a fitness test before Saturday's showdown against Liverpool.
He is considered a doubt but Jose Mourinho will give the France midfielder a chance to prove he can play.
Pogba, 24, has forced his way back into the team after getting axed for the Champions League clash against Sevilla last month.
Mourinho also has Ander Herrera out with a hamstring problem and while Marouane Fellaini is available, he has just returned to training.
The Special One wanted to start £89million Pogba against bitter rivals Liverpool in Saturday's early kick-off.
But he has Scott McTominay and Fellaini available if the former Juventus maestro fails to prove his fitness.
Mourinho recently hit back at pundits who have criticised Pogba's performances.

Graeme Souness is one of several who have slated the Frenchman this campaign, with playmaker struggling to replicate the form he showed with the Old Lady.
Mourinho said: "Some of the guys with an opinion couldn't resolve their own problems when they were managers.

Pogba is without an assist since January 15 and has failed to find the back of the net since scoring against Newcastle back in November.
