MANCHESTER UNITED fans were left shocked when Marcus Rashford was substituted, instead wishing it was Alexis Sanchez.
Rashford scored twice to put hosts United into a healthy lead against Liverpool, before Erick Bailly's own-goal brought the visitors back into it.
This prompted United boss Jose Mourinho to replace Rashford with Marouane Fellaini - much to the anger of United fans.
There were some boos inside Old Trafford, while the world of social media could barely believe it either.
And many were united in the knowledge it should have been Alexis Sanchez trotting off instead.
Tanmay wrote that "Sanchez should've been the one to be off not Rashford", while Craig Pawson described the Chilean's performance as "shocking".
Joe Wood emphasised his despair by writing "no no no no no no" in a tweet, while many others highlighted how it was a "typical Mourinho substitution".
Billy Wand asked if Sanchez had a "free pass" while Max Balfour gave Sanchez a "1/10" for his performance in the derby.
Sanchez did get the hook later on however - in the 96th minute when Matteo Darmian came on to waste a few seconds.
