Everton join Juventus in race for Arsenal star Jack Wilshere… and will top new Gunners deal offered

EVERTON are ready to go head-to-head with Juventus for Jack Wilshere, according to reports.

The 26-year-old and his representatives have hit a brick wall in talks with Arsenal about extending his stay at the Emirates.

Wilshere, who has forced his way back into the Arsenal side in recent months is a free agent in the summer.

However, the Gunners want the England international to take a pay-cut on his £110,000-a-week contract to stay on.

The midfielder is reluctant to leave North London and his admission that no progress is being made in negotiations has alerted the Toffees, claim the .

Everton could offer higher wages than Arsenal who want Wilshere to agree to a heavily incentivised deal due to his injury record in recent years.
