Manchester United chiefs ‘question whether Jose Mourinho’s negative approach is right for the club’

MANCHESTER UNITED chiefs have doubts over whether Jose Mourinho is the right man to lead the club, according to reports.

Some senior boardroom figures have doubts over his negative approach following the club's dismal Champions League exit, report the .

The Special One, 55, who has claimed the League Cup and Europa League since joining in 2016, is said to retain the full backing of executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward.

However, other leaders at the club reportedly "fear it could be several years" before the team are ";serious contenders" for the Premier League title.

United currently sit second in the table, some 16 points behind runaway leaders Man City.

One senior source is quoted as saying: "Jose is not the manager we thought he was.
