Tottenham to open talks with Heung-Min Son over a new contract as reward for South Korean’s fine form
Reports suggest that Son, 25, will hold talks with Spurs chiefs in the coming weeks to improve his deal which runs out in 2020
TOTTENHAM are reportedly set to open talks with Heung-Min Son over a new contract.
The South Korean is likely to take his total to over 20 goals for the second season in a row having scored 18 in 43 appearances.
And Sky Sports are reporting that Son, 25, will hold talks with Spurs chiefs in the coming weeks to improve his deal.
The former Bayer Leverkusen man moved to White Hart Lane in 2015 and his current deal expires in 2020.
Son has scored 47 goals since joining and has netted seven in his last four games.
And Spurs will need him to carry on firing them in with star striker Harry Kane out with an ankle injury.

Meanwhile, Spurs could be without Son for up to two years if he has to complete his military service.

Under Korean law, all men must do 21 months of National Service before they turn 28.
Son reaches that milestone in July 2019 and any military call-up would rule him out of the 2019-20 and 2020-21 seasons.
