Eriksen added another in the second half after Argentine Lamela doubled Tottenham’s lead on 45 minutes.

Spurs effortlessly moved through into the semi-finals of the FA Cup after struggling against the likes of Newport County and Rochdale in previous rounds.

After the match Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino said: "We are very happy with our performance, I am pleased for the players, and they were excellent.

"There is still a long way to go, we are now in the semi-final and even though we feel we are close, we are far away still.”

Spurs haven’t won the FA Cup for 27 years and have lost seven successive semi-finals.
