Lionel Messi, Mesut Ozil and James Rodriguez launch retro Argentina, Germany and Colombia kits ahead of World Cup
Adidas revealed nine new strips for the tournament - opting for bold choices that hark back to a different era
ADIDAS has launched nine retro kits for the upcoming World Cup.
Lionel Messi, Mesut Ozil and James Rodriguez were among the stars to model the new strips.
Reigning champs Germany will wear a green away shirt in a throwback to their kits from their triumph at Italia 90.
Spain, meanwhile, have gone for white with red trim and a two-tone badge based around their look from the 1980s.
Messi's Argentina have perhaps the boldest new look and will wear black for the first time ever.
Hosts Russia have a grey kit which adidas claims "depicts an abstract vision of Russian architecture and pays homage to the architectural landmarks and industrial cities of the country."
Colombia have gone for dark blue mixed with bright orange and have the slogan "united as one nation" in the collar.
England's group rivals Belgium are in yellow, with their nation's colours as the trim.
'I'LL GIVE UP' Lionel Messi hints he will retire from Argentina duty if they flop at Russia World Cup
Chelsea loanee Michy Batshuayi modelled the kit and will be looking forward to meeting his team-mates after hitting form.
Sweden are in classic blue and yellow for their reverse kit, while Mexico have white with a bold red and green stripe over the stomach.
And Japan have a version of their 1991 home shirt in a light grey with a flag and crest on an otherwise plain design.
