NEIL WARNOCK has admitted he would have pushed for a postponement if he was in the same position after Cardiff's trip to Derby was rearranged.
The Championship clash will now be held on April 24 after a controversial call-off from the injury-hit Rams.
Bluebirds chief Warnock slammed the "disgraceful" decision at the time but has now mellowed.
He told talkSPORT: "If the boot would have been on the other foot, I'd have done the same.
“I would have tried to get an advantage when they have got Huddlestone suspended and a lot of injuries.
"Ironically, it happened to me at Derby when I was at Sheffield United and I wanted the game off as we had a lot of problems and they wanted it on.
"We got the referee to call it off and we then went back a few weeks later and got beat and I thought 'I'm never going to do that again'.
"So, hopefully we will get a good result when we go back to Derby."
RAMS HIT BACK Derby refute Neil Warnock ‘disgrace’ and ‘scandalous’ claim over decision to postpone match with Cardiff
But Cardiff CEO Ken Choo reckons Cardiff fans who made the journey from South Wales should be paid back by the Rams.
He told Sky Sports News: "We remain far from happy about what happened on Sunday morning and many questions still need answering.
"We have left the matter in the hands of the EFL but the very least Derby can do is to reimburse 2,700 of our fans for their tickets and their travel.
"The weather was far worse in Wales than in Derby, yet thousands of our fans were on their way. Derby have to do the right and proper thing and agree to compensate our fans."
Derby maintain that they did nothing wrong, with chief public relations officer Paul Tyrrell explaining: "We fully complied with all the matchday operational regulations surrounding the postponement of the game.
"The decision was fully supported by the independent Safety Advisory Group, who are responsible for ensuring that the club complies with the terms and conditions of our Safety Certificate."
