Burnley boss Sean Dyche eyeing £10m swoop for West Brom ace Craig Dawson if relegation is confirmed
Championship clubs Aston Villa and Middlesbrough will also be in the possee of clubs expected to chase versatile defender
CRAIG DAWSON can expect a possee of Premier League clubs to chase him once West Bromwich's relegation is confirmed.
And, according to reports, Burnley boss Sean Dyche will be one of the first in the queue for the £10million-rated central defender.
Dawson, 27, is unfinished business as far as Dyche is concerned.
He tried to sign him after selling Michael Keane to Everton in August, but Albion refused to do business.
Dyche has continued to monitor the player and is convinced he still has lots to offer the Premier League.
says that Championship sides Aston Villa and Middlesbrough – managed by Dawson's ex-Albion boss Tony Pulis – also want Dawson, who has two years left on his deal.
Dawson is one of those players that it is tough to put a value on.
But it seems they must win promotion to the Premier League to challenge the Clarets for his signature.

He is certainly versatile, is very rarely injured, is a real threat from set-pieces and, most importantly, is a very good defender.
And, to his credit, Dawson has been one of West Brom's best and most consistent performers for a few years now following loan spells at Rochdale and Bolton.

It would seem the Baggies would be looking around the £10m mark for him - providing he doesn't have a relegation release clause in his contract.
Albion, meanwhile, could also lose Jonny Evans, Chris Brunt and James Morrison if, as seems certain, they go down.
