Willy Caballero gives his gloves to young pitch invader during Argentina’s Etihad win over Italy
Chelsea 'keeper deals with kid's intrusion in a handy way - and still keeps a clean sheet in the World Cup warm-up match
WILLY CABALLERO gave a young pitch invader a gift he will never forget.
The Chelsea keeper decided to treat the kid with gloves during Argentina's 2-0 friendly win over Italy at the Etihad.
It was also a handy night for Caballero himself as the 36-year-old's clean sheet boosted his World Cup chances.
And it was a night the youth will surely treasure - even if it might give him a mixed message about entering the field of play.
Caballero obviously assessed it was a good-natured intrusion.
And stewards escorted the boy off the field without any problems.
The match too was fought in a good spirit - after opening with a minute's silence for tragic Fiorentina skipper Davide Astori.
The Fiorentina skipper died in his sleep earlier this month, aged 31, following a heart attack at a hotel.
BEST EVER Argentina 2 Italy 0: Ever Banega and Manuel Lanzini fire late crackers to light up Etihad and sink Azzurri
Both teams held the silent pre-match tribute, while a giant screen showed an image of ex-Azzurri defender Astori.
Not all fans at Manchester City's ground observed the silence, though.
Some chatted, took selfies or even chanted.
On the pitch later, Ever Banega and West Ham star Manuel Lanzini notched fine goals to seal Argentina's win in the final 15 minutes.
