Mesut Ozil returns to Arsenal after pulling out of Germany squad… missing Brazil friendly
Midfielder, 29, is not believed to be injured but is instead being rested by national boss Joachim Low
MESUT OZIL has returned to Arsenal after being rested by Germany boss Joachim Low.
The Gunners midfielder, 29, played all 90 minutes of Die Mannschaft's 1-1 draw against Spain last night.
But the national side's official Twitter account said he, along with Bayern Munich striker Thomas Muller, will not be in Berlin for the friendly against Brazil.
It is not believed that Ozil is injured.
No such good news for Liverpool's Emre Can, though, who has also returned to his club.
A message on Germany's official Twitter account read: "With ongoing back problems leaving him without a chance of playing against Brazil on Tuesday, Emre Can has returned home today.

Low, who has been shortlisted to replace Emirates boss Arsene Wenger, had earlier this week confirmed he would not field the same players in both friendlies.
Speaking ahead of the Spain game, he said: "I think tomorrow the structure will be around Jerome, Mats, Muller, Kroos and Ozil who will start.
"I am not planning to play the same players in both matches.
