PAUL POGBA and Jose Mourinho are barely on speaking terms at Manchester United.
The Premier League’s most expensive player is giving his boss the silent treatment after getting axed last month.
Their relationship has hit rock bottom and the Frenchman is communicating through assistant boss Rui Faria and backroom staff.
Mourinho took a thinly-veiled swipe at the £89million when he insisted “I don’t give trust for free”.
And he now must rebuild a way of working together to get the midfielder back in his plans.
Pogba’s agent Mino Raiola has been in contact with top European clubs and recently admitted he is “ready to do my job” if things are not going well for his client.
France coach Didier Deschamps has also raised concerns over Pogba being unhappy at Old Trafford heading into the World Cup this summer.
Pogba, 25, was on the bench for the Champions League matches against Sevilla, which were United’s biggest games of the season at the time.
CONT-INGENCY PLAN PSG 'hold talks with Conte's agent' about taking over
Getting dumped out of Europe means Mourinho’s only hope for silverware this season is the FA Cup – and he left out Pogba for the win against Brighton when a semi-final place at Wembley was at stake.
Mourinho admitted last month that he did not speak to Pogba when he pulled out of the cup win against Huddersfield on the eve of the tie.

He said: “When I was told by the doctor this morning that he was not coming, I don't want to know anything else about it - I have to think who is going to replace him.”
The Special One has also been aware that Pogba prefers to play in a three-man midfield rather than a pair in front of the defence.
Pogba also missed the win over Liverpool – when United did well without him – after needing
STITCHES for a freak training-ground accident tackling Scott McTominay.
Pog was crocked in the final minute of the session before facing Jurgen Klopp’s men.
He was desperate to play but was ruled out by docs as there were fears his wound may get infected.
Pogba was tackling McTominay but ended up bloodied himself, according to a United source.
The ex-Juventus star was fit for the midweek clash against Sevilla but was on the bench for the defeat.
