PHIL FODEN and Jadon Sancho have been dropped from the England Under-19s team for disciplinary reasons.
Manchester City ace Foden and Borussia Dortmund youngster Sancho were due to start against Latvia in Macedonia on Saturday.
Both of the key players were axed as they had turned up late in the build-up and were unused subs.
Manager Paul Simpson made the decision to make an example of the pair who turned up late for a training session.
Foden has broken into Pep Guardiola’s first-team squad this season and has played eight times.
Sancho has made six appearances for Dortmund since joining from City.
The duo were both part of England’s Under-17 World Cup success last year.
Foden and Sancho will be considered for the Under-19s’ next game against Macedonia on Tuesday.
