Leroy Sane hell bent on giving Brazil a taste of his glittering Manchester City form

Says German ace: 'I always try to show myself one-on-one and open up gaps. I hope to prove that for the national team'

LEROY SANE is on a mission to turn his sparkling form with Manchester City on to the international stage.

The 22-year-old winger faces Brazil on Tuesday when he hopes to showcase the full range of his skills in Berlin with world champions Germany.

Sane said: "I always try to show myself in one-on-one [situations] and open up gaps.

"I hope to be able to prove that in games for the national team.

"The coach will prepare us very well for the opponent. Brazil has become much stronger and has a very strong team even without Neymar.

"Each of us is fired up to play against Brazil - and of course we want to win."

Germany thrashed host nation Brazil 7-1 on their way to World Cup glory in 2014.

Sane, who has scored 12 goals and made 11 assists for Manchester City this season, is one of a number of player to have emerged on the international scene since then.

Germany won the Confederations Cup last year, basically with a makeshift team.

Sane said: "The German national team has produced very, very good players.

"We have a good mix of older and younger players. If one of the younger players is deployed, he can withstand the pressure and help the team."

City team-mate Ilkay Gundogan has no doubt his international colleague has the capacity to make a significant impact at Russia 2018.
