ICELAND have joined forces with England by announcing a diplomatic boycott of the World Cup.
British Prime Minister Theresa May announced earlier this month that no ministers or members of the Royal Family will attend the tournament in the wake of the poisoning of former Russian spy Sergeri Skripal.
And it appears Iceland, who are competing in their first ever World Cup, are the second nation to have have followed suit.
Reported by Russia publication TASS, the Icelandic government confirmed a boycott.
A statement read: "Today we spoke with Iceland foreign minister, who told us about official position of his government over attack on our citizens in Salisbury on March 4.
"Iceland temporarily suspends bilateral dialogue on the highest levels with Russia.
"Hence, country's representatives will not visit the World Cup this summer."
British officials have accused Russia of being behind the poisoning of Skripal and his daughter.

Prince William and Prince Harry are regulars at tournaments but will not be in Russia later this year.
The PM said: "There will be no attendance by ministers - or indeed members of the Royal Family - at this summer's World Cup in Russia."
It is believed Sweden and Denmark could also stand defiant with England in a boycott.
