GABBY AGBONLAHOR is reportedly set to end his 17-year Aston Villa career and move to the MLS.

The pacey forward, 31, has struggled as Steve Bruce's promotion hopefuls try and return to the Premier League.

And as the Villans try to trim their wage bill, whether they go up or not, claims Agbonlahor is certain for the chop.

Homegrown Agbonlahor is Villa's record goalscorer in the top flight with 84 strikes.

But he has netted just twice in 19 league games since relegation in the 2015-16 season.

The England international helped fire Villa to three sixth-place finishes under Martin O'Neill.

But Agbonlahor has suffered a number of injury complaints and no longer possesses the turn of pace which made him so effective.

America is believed to be an option for the ageing star as he looks to extend his career.

But skipper John Terry looks set to extend the 12-month deal he agreed when he decided to quit Chelsea at the end of last season.

The 38-year-old has an option for another year on his contract and has outlined his desire to stay after playing a key role when fit.
