BARCELONA star Lionel Messi has purchased a stunning £525-a-night hotel in Ibiza as he expands his MiM brand.
The 30-year-old has bought the incredible Hotel Es Vive situated along the Figueretas beach, with the 52-room property boasting a luxury pool and rooftop bar.
It was only last summer that the Argentinian maestro snapped up the four-star hotel MiM Sitges for a reported fee of £26million.
According to , the plush establishment will be managed by the Majestic Hotel Group, with prices starting from £226 per night.
The property has since been renamed MiM Ibiza Es Vive following the takeover, after former management company Gemini Group Evissa confirmed the transfer of business, according to .
British designer Sean Cochrane redesigned the hotel in 2014 in a 1940s-inspired Art Deco style.
Real Madrid legend Cristiano Ronaldo recently revealed his business plans for the party island, but it is Messi who has pipped his rival first.
The 33-year-old's Pestana CR7 chain of hotels had announced they were working with JLL Hotels & Hospitality Group to find a suitable property in Ibiza last year.
Spokesperson for JLL, Luis Arsuaga Rato, said at the time: "The island is a natural destination for the Pestana CR7 brand."
Ronaldo is no stranger to the hotel business, with the ex-Manchester United ace owning one in his hometown of Funchal, and another in Lisbon.
And he is expected to open hotels in Madrid, New York and Marrakesh in Morocco.
Messi's new business venture may put a smile on his face after he stormed out of the stands as Argentina concede a SIXTH goal against Spain in a humiliating defeat for the 2014 World Cup runners-up last night.
