ALEXANDER BUTTNER is in line to make his Vitesse Arnhem comeback - after reportedly shedding the weight that saw him exiled.
The Manchester United flop moved to Old Trafford when Sir Alex Ferguson signed him from the Dutch club for £4million in 2012.
But the only real impact he made was when David Moyes banned chips from the Carrington canteen after seeing Buttner tucking into a plateful.
On the pitch, the left-back failed to show much evidence that he was capable of becoming a long-term replacement for Patrice Evra.
After falling totally out of favour under Louis van Gaal, United amazingly made a £400,000 profit when they sold him to Dynamo Moscow in 2014.
But he again struggled and was loaned to Anderlecht the following season before ending up back at Vitesse in 2016.
