Chelsea could lose as many as NINE players as Roman Abramovich takes hands-on role in summer overhaul, according to reports

CHELSEA could ditch NINE of their first-team squad in a summer overhaul, according to reports.

The are claiming owner Roman Abramovich is set to take a more hands-on role at the end of this season.

And that means the futures of a number of Chelsea stars are now up in the air — including Eden Hazard and Thibaut Courtois.

The Belgian duo have been linked with moves to Spanish giants Real Madrid with both refusing to sign new deals with the Blues.

And the fact Chelsea may miss out on Champions League football after their 3-1 loss to Tottenham has increased fears they could quit West London.

Cesc Fabregas, Pedro, Gary Cahill, David Luiz and January signing Olivier Giroud are also reported to be in danger.

They will all have just one year remaining on their contracts at the end of the season and Chelsea will have to decide whether to cash in or offer them extensions.

Michy Batshuayi and Kurt Zouma, who are both currently on loan, also face uncertain futures.
