MANCHESTER UNITED have released two youngsters to join Huddersfield.
The two defenders had played for the club's Under-18 side but have linked up with the Terriers' academy as they look to progress into David Wagner's first team.
Centre-back Barrett, 18, had a trial at Burnley last month but has now moved to his hometown club.
He made his debut at the weekend in the U19 Champions Trophy in Germany.
Barrett made six appearances this season for the Red Devils in their Academy League.
Spratt, also 18, suffered an injury after playing nine games for United's U18s last season.

Both will hope to stand a chance of progression with the Terriers.
And they will hope that is in the Premier League, with Wagner's team locked in a relegation battle.
Following promotion from the Championship play-off final after a penalty shootout win over Reading, they are now three points clear of safety with six Prem games remaining.
