The second strike was so sublime that even the Juventus fans gave Ronaldo a standing ovation.

But Bale's reaction to Ronaldo's third-minute goal in the quarter-final was very subdued.

The Welshman was on the bench as the ball hit the back of the net, and while his team-mates went wild, Bale looked on impassively.

The former Tottenham remained in his seat and could only musters a slow clap while the rest of his team-mates beamed with smiles and hugged.

Even though he has repeatedly said he doesn't want to leave Real Madrid, the writing could be on the wall for the former world record transfer, with Manchester United reportedly interested.

And Bale's night did not get better as he was an unused sub and Real ran out 3-0 winners in Turin.
