FULHAM are bracing themselves for another £20million-plus attempt from Newcastle to sign skipper Tom Cairney.

Yet Leicester have now increased their interest in the Scottish midfielder who is on the shortlist to win the Championship player of the season.

Cairney, 27, has once again been outstanding this season for Fulham, who still have an outside chance of promotion to the Premier League.

Newcastle had a £20m bid turned down last summer and are still keen on the player, even though they would surely have to increase their bid.

But if Fulham fail to earn promotion, their chance of keeping holding of their player would take a major hit and Leicester could also be an attractive option.

The same goes for £25m-rated Ryan Sessegnon.

He is being chased by a string of top clubs but as Sunsport revealed last week, could sign a new deal and stay at Craven Cottage if the team gets promoted.

Sessegnon, unsurprisingly, is also set to feature in the Football League's end of season awards.
