MANCHESTER UNITED target Andre Gomes has reportedly asked to leave Barcelona.
Spanish newspaper claims the Portugal international will leave the Nou Camp this summer after failing to impress in midfield.
Gomes joined from Valencia in the summer of 2016 in a deal that could reach £48million, and was widely heralded as the successor to Andre Iniesta.
But the 24-year-old’s performances have left a lot to be desired, and he has been booed by fans for a number of months.
That hasn’t stopped United and Italian champions Juventus from reportedly expressing an interest in Gomes’ services.
And the player now looks like he will be available after telling Barca chiefs he wants to leave the club at the end of the season.
Gomes recently revealed he was even scared to leave his house after being made a pariah by Barcelona fans.
He said: “Maybe it’s not the best word but life has become a bit of a hell, because I started to feel the pressure.
