Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho says his son Junior is the next Special One
Old Trafford boss has already warned his assistants that his lad, 18, will take their jobs
JOSE MOURINHO has tipped his son to be the next Special One.
The Manchester United manager’s kid Jose Junior, 18, sat on the bench among the team’s coaches for the win over Swansea last month during his work experience at Old Trafford.
And it was revealed that last season the teenager impressed his famous dad with his analysis of United’s defeats.
Mourinho, in a documentary with Portuguese broadcaster SIC, said: “I’ll tell you something that only my assistants knew.
“In a period of a few bad results one day, he comes up with some analysis on my team — obviously suffering because Dad wasn’t doing well.
“We had lost to Watford and Manchester City, I think, and he came with the stats of the team. I showed them to my assistants and I told them, ‘Be careful as one day this boy will take one of your places’.

“But in fact I compare him with me at his age, where I would try to do the same sort of things for my dad — of course with different technology methods, but analysis from a kid aged 16 then.”
Jose Jr — known as Zuca by his family — was on a work experience placement when his father invited him to the game as he had a weekend off studying.
The youngster is a goalkeeper, just like Mourinho’s late father Felix, and was on Fulham’s books until he was released a year ago.
At a celebrity charity game in aid of Grenfell victims in September, Mourinho himself played between the sticks.
