are reporting that the club are counting the pennies after the consecutive record signings of Alexander Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and dishing out several pricey new contracts.
And that means whoever the new boss is will only be able to splash cash that they make from selling current players.
Lacazette cost £52m last summer and Aubameyang £60m, while Mesut Ozil and Henrikh Mkhitaryan were put on big contracts.
But with Arsenal looking likely to miss out on Champions League football for the second season in a row, the board have decided to slash funding for new players.
