He’s seen as a long-term replacement for Mousa Dembele, who could even be let go for the right price this summer as he enters the final 12 months of his contract.

Meanwhile, right-back Cedric could be available for a bargain price if Southampton are relegated, although there is stiff interest from Chelsea - and the matter of finding a new club for flop Aurier.
Winger Martins is another on Pochettino’s shortlist, although he could end up missing out on a move to Spurs if Crystal Palace’s Wilfried Zaha or Bordeaux’s Malcom are available.
