WEST HAM have joined the race for West Brom's Jonny Evans, according to reports.
The news comes hot on the heels of SunSport's exclusive that Manchester United are considering bringing the Northern Ireland star back for a cut-price £3million.
Evans, 30, was sold by Louis Van Gaal in August 2015 for £6m.
His stock rose during the first two of his three seasons at The Hawthorns, prompting big money bids from both Leicester City and Manchester City.
The Foxes had a £10m bid turned down last August and City had an £18m offer rejected at the same time.
Then came interest from Arsenal in the New Year window with a proposed offer of £10m plus full-back Mathieu Debuchy.
Now says West Ham will make an approach for Evans when West Brom's relegation is confirmed.
The Irons have a long-standing interest in the centre-half and are expected to firm it up with a bid.

Crystal Palace, Newcastle and Everton are also thought to be interested.
Despite their improved form in their last two games under Darren Moore, West Brom remain rock bottom of the Premier League, eight points adrift of safety.

He won three Premier League titles, two League Cups and the Club World Cup and has 68 caps for Northern Ireland.
