MANCHESTER UNITED fans taunted Arsene Wenger one last time at Old Trafford as they sang: "We want you to stay".
Arsenal lost their sixth away game in a row for the first time since January 1966, with Marouane Fellaini nodding home a late winner.
After the defeat Wenger admitted that it may be the last time that he ever manages at Old Trafford.
While United's fans could not resists at dig at the departing Gunners boss, they applauded him before kick-off ahead of the club's classy presentation.
Sir Alex Ferguson handed Wenger an inscribed silver vase on behalf of United to recognise the Frenchman's 22-year reign.
Fergie then waved Mourinho down to the touchline as the trio of legendary bosses posed for snaps.
The Special One seemed hesitant at first, but headed down on Fergie's orders.
Mourinho explained: "We did it fantastically well as a club. In the end it’s the club that did it.
"But I felt it would mean more being Sir Alex coming down that myself because as a United manager I played against Mr Wenger three of four times.
"The big rivalry in the history of the two clubs was them."
