JOSE MOURINHO has identified Juventus left-back Alex Sandro as his No1 target to replace Luke Shaw this summer, according to reports.
Shaw, who is out of contract at the end of next season, has repeatedly been dug out by his boss and looks set to be sold.
SunSport revealed both Sandro and Tottenham star Danny Rose are being considered to replace the full-back, 22.
But the claim that Mourinho is now dead set on Sandro.
The United manager hinted he is in the market for a Brazilian.
He said: "I think that a team without a Brazilian isn't a team.
"But also, a squad with three or four Brazilian athletes, depending on their profile, cannot make a great team too. I'm kidding!
"I think their talent is fantastic and the creativity of the Brazilian player cannot be measured.
"If a European team, like, very European, could have a Brazilian in their squad, it would bring a 'Brazilian thing' to the game and I think that's very important."
Mourinho has been using converted winger Ashley Young at left-back this season.

United are thought to want at least £28m for unsettled Shaw.
Sandro began his career at Atletico Paranaense and joined Porto in 2011 before signing for Juve in 2015.
He has established himself as one of the most highly rated left-backs in the world and has also been linked with a move to Chelsea.
