Gerrard is embarking on his first job in management, but Rodgers hasn't held back when discussing the league.

The Celtic boss joked: "Welcome to the land of no sleep!";

Earlier in the day, Gerrard - at his unveiling - claimed: “I am honoured to become the next manager of Rangers.

"I have enormous respect for this football club, and its history and tradition.

Gerrard also added what motivated him to take the job, was to feel the passion once more.

Meanwhile, speaking of Rodgers, Gerrard says he is looking forward to the challenge of taking on his former boss.

Gerrard revealed: "I haven’t spoken to Brendan regarding this role.
