And on Friday, Villa posted a GIF of Jedinak mocked up as a Jedi in honour of "Star Wars Day".

Villa captioned the tweet: "When the Jedi hears Play-Off tickets go on sale this Sunday..."

The Villa Park outfit completed the tweet with the hashtags "#StarWarsDay" and "#MayThe4thBeWithYou".

Naturally the rest of Twitter jumped on the post, with a real mixed bag of replies...

Aston Villa weren't the only people jumping on the Star Wars Day bandwagon though... even Liverpool's Simon Mignolet got in on the action.

The Belgian stopper posted a brilliant picture of Steven Gerrard with a blue lightsaber to celebrate him being officially unveiled as Rangers boss.
