Amy Christophers: Ryan Sessegnon must stay at Fulham, he’d be wasted in the Premier League and doomed under Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho

THE transfer window is fast approaching and there is even more hype this season around Ryan Sessegnon (rightly so) and where he will end up this summer.
As usual Daniel Levy has shown interest.
Spurs were in for him last summer and wanted to purchase the young left-back to loan him back to Fulham.
Word on the street is Fulham's youngster could be interested in a move to Liverpool, but Jose Mourinho has also expressed admiration for the PFA's Young Player of the Year nominee and I'm sure the teenager won't be short of offers.
But I don't think Ryan should be hasty in leaving Fulham.
His current market value is £22.5million, which is a pretty hefty sum for a 17-year-old who has yet to play in the top flight.

However, I believe his value could increase if he stays at Fulham – they are heading to the play-offs and on the brink of rejoining the Premier League after four long years.
I feel it would be silly for him to jump ship now to a top Premier League team while there are two years left on his contract.

At Craven Cottage he is the star player and starting every game which is great for his development and confidence for when he does eventually end up playing in the top flight.
My main worry is that if he does venture off to the likes of Manchester United, he won't start every game and will lose value.
It's not exactly a secret that Jose Mourinho struggles to get the best out of younger players, and look at what's happening with Luke Shaw.
The young left back has had only had one good season at Old Trafford and that was under Louis Van Gaal.
The former Chelsea manager also didn't see much potential in Lukaku or Salah before sending them away on loan.
He prefers older, more established players, so for me, I don't see that Sessegnon would be the right fit for the current Red Devils squad.
Gareth Southgate also has concerns about Ryan sitting on the bench.
The England manager has said what a bright future the Fulham player has in international football, but he doesn't feel he is experienced enough at the moment to go to Russia and wants to give Adam Lallana a chance to prove his fitness.
So it looks like Ryan will be watching it on the TV like the rest of us.
Southgate also stated he wants Ryan to play Premier League football before getting an official call-up, so fingers crossed Fulham go up eh!
While I'm on the subject of England managers, I had the honour of attending the private screening last night of Bobby Robson - More Than a Manager.
I balled my eyes out, laughed and learned a lot about his time at Barcelona and his close friendships with Mourinho and Guardiola.
It was very insightful and heartwarming, and I can't wait to buy it on DVD to watch with my dad.
