And the England man, 25, was determined to do so in style as he cruised to Carrington in the sleek, black Bentley Continental - worth around £200,000.

The car even sported a red Bentley badge on the front - as Marcus Rashford rode shotgun to the Aon Training Complex.

Lingard will be aiming to help Man United break the 80-point barrier - currently stuck on 78.

But his United team-mates certainly aren't breaking open the bubbly after a so-far sub-par season.

Ander Herrera added: "I think that being at the second place is also worthy because the champions were practically impeccable.

A FEW HERR-Y MOMENTS Man United star Ander Herrera claims ‘two or three mistakes’ cost the club in 2017-18

"They did not make any mistakes this season but we've made two or three mistakes against teams we should have probably beaten and that did not allow us to contend for the title."

Boss Jose Mourinho concluded: "We need to beat Watford on Sunday and then hopefully win the FA Cup final for a satisfactory end to the season."
