CRISTIANO RONALDO and Sergio Ramos have been left out of Real Madrid’s squad for Saturday’s match against Celta Vigo.
Los Blancos have just two La Liga games remaining before facing Liverpool in the Champions League final at the end of May.
And boss Zinedine Zidane is keen to ensure his two key men are fit and ready for the epic clash in Kiev.
Ronaldo picked up an ankle injury during the El Clasico draw against Barcelona a week ago.
He is believed to be recovering well but Zidane clearly doesn’t want to take any chances.
Meanwhile, captain Ramos has been given the night off as the likes of Gareth Bale, Toni Kroos and Marcelo return.
But fans fearing Ronaldo’s absence in the Champions League final can breathe a sigh of relief, with Zidane confident the Portuguese ace will be on the field.
He said: “It would be perfect to have him back for the [final] game against Villarreal.
