Bournemouth want Liverpool target Lewis Cook tied down to a new deal at Vitality Stadium
LEWIS COOK is in talks over a new Bournemouth deal following his breakthrough season.
The 21-year-old midfielder earned an England call-up and has been tracked by Liverpool.
But Eddie Howe wants the youngster committed to the Vitality Stadium with a contract extension to take him beyond 2020.
Cook arrived from Leeds two seasons ago but only established himself as a first-team regular this season.
He skippered the Under-20s to World Cup glory in South Korea last year and got his senior call-up in November.
Anfield scouts were following him before he moved to Bournemouth and have been impressed with his progress on the South Coast.

Cook has an outside chance of making Gareth Southgate's squad for the World Cup, with the 35-man squad set to be named on Monday.
He played 90 minutes in England's 1-1 draw with Italy at Wembley in March and has been a mainstay in Howe's midfield this term.

After injuries to Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Harry Winks, Cook could have an even better shot of making it.
But he will be competing for places with the likes of Eric Dier, Jordan Henderson, Jack Wilshere, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Jesse Lingard and Dele Alli.
