Peter Crouch heads in 1000th Premier League goal for 2017-18 season against Swansea
Stoke striker headed his side into the lead on the final day of the season for a milestone
PETER CROUCH headed home this season’s 1000th goal in a rare moment of respite for the rock-bottom side.
During the week, the former Tottenham and Liverpool striker admitted his shame at being relegated at the foot of the table last week.
But he gave the travelling Potters fans something to cheer by nodding home after 41 minutes at Swansea.
The Welsh side took the lead after 14 minutes – sparking hope of an unlikely great escape – with Andy King scoring.
But, 15 minutes before the break, Paul Lambert’s men were level through a beautifully dinked goal from Badou Ndiaye.
And on 40 minutes Crouch completed the come back when the beanpole frontman headed in a free-kick.
