Boss Tite previously revealed 15 members of the squad but has now confirmed his 23-man group for the trip to Russia
BRAZIL have announced their 23-man squad for the World Cup this summer.
Boss Tite named 15 players guaranteed to make the plane to Russia in February.
And now the other eight have been confirmed as Brazil look to make amends for their horrific exit to Germany on their own turf in 2014, with a couple of shock names in the mix.
Manchester City goalkeeper Ederson is joined by Roma’s Alisson and Corinthian’s Cassio, with the latter preferred to Valencia’s Neto.
City’s Danilo and Corinthian’s Fagner are in at right-back following Dani Alves’ KO during PSG’s French Cup win.
While Atletico Madrid’s Filipe Luis has seen off competition from Juventus’ Alex Sandro to support Real Madrid’s Marcelo at left-back.
Goalkeepers: Alisson (Roma), Ederson (Man City), Cassio (Corinthians)
Defenders: Fagner (Corinthians), Danilo (Man City), Thiago Silva (PSG), Marquinhos (PSG), Geromel (Gremio), Miranda (Inter Milan), Marcelo (Real Madrid), Filipe Luis (Atletico Madrid)
Midfielders: Casemiro (Real Madrid), Fernandinho (Man City), Paulinho (Barcelona), Fred (Shakhtar Donetsk), Renato Augusto (Beijing Guoan), Philippe Coutinho (Barcelona)
Forwards: Willian (Chelsea), Douglas Costa (Juventus), Taison (Shakhtar Donetsk), Neymar (PSG), Gabriel Jesus (Man City), Roberto Firmino (Liverpool)
There’s no room for Chelsea’s David Luiz at centre-back, with PSG duo Marquinhos and Thiago Silva joined by Inter Milan’s Miranda and Gremio’s Geromel.
Real Madrid’s Casemiro and City’s Fernandinho will compete for the role of anchorman, with Barcelona’s Paulinho and Shakhtar Donetsk’s Premier League-linked Fred also included.
Beijing Guoan’s Renato Augusto and Barcelona’s Philippe Coutinho are the two central playmakers.
While Chelsea’s Willian and Juventus’ Douglas Costa are joined by Shakhtar’s Taison on the wings.
In attack, Liverpool’s Roberto Firmino will compete with City’s Gabriel Jesus for the sole striker position.
While PSG’s Neymar is included as he nears a return from an ankle injury.
Other players to miss out include new Barcelona boy Arthur and Fenerbahce’s Giuliano.
Sao Paulo’s Diego Souza had also been tipped for a place, with former Chelsea man and Shanghai SIPG ace Oscar another familiar face to be looked over.
