DAVID ALABA'S dad has fuelled speculation the Bayern Munich left-back could be on his way to Real Madrid.
The Austrian international revealed earlier on in the season he may look for "a new challenge" despite being tied down at the Allianz Arena until 2021.
George Alaba - the player's father and agent - has claimed that Los Blancos are keen on nabbing the 25-year-old.
Speaking to Spanish news outlet , he said: "Everyone knows that Real Madrid are really interested in David.
"But we can’t say anything right now. We'll see what happens in the summer.
"Now isn't the moment to discuss who is interested in him. Everyone already knows of Madrid's interest, it's no secret.
"But right now there's nothing to say. He has to wait and see at the end of the season."
Since making his debut for the Bavarian club during the 2009/10 campaign, Alaba has amassed 300 appearances, netting on 26 occasions.
