Chelsea target and Middlesbrough star Adama Traore to receive surprise Spanish call to link-up World Cup squad
Electrify winger is one of seven youngsters to be invited to train with La Roja ahead of their friendly with Switzerland
CHELSEA target Adama Traore is set to receive a surprise call to join up with Spain’s World Cup squad.
The Middlesbrough winger is due to be rewarded for his stunning Championship form by national boss Julen Lopetegui.
However, the 22-year-old will not be packing his bags for Russia just yet.
Spain face Switzerland on June 3 as they round off their preparations for the summer showpiece.
The 2010 champions named their 23-man squad last week that they hope will lead them to global dominance once again.
But with the six Real Madrid men included being given extended breaks after the Champions League final, Lopetegui’s outfit will be a little light to take on the Swiss.
And reports that he will now invite a number of young players to take their places for the friendly, including the ex-Barcelona and Aston Villa man.
Boro’s Traore has produced the best performances of his career since Tony Pulis took over at The Riverside in late December.
