Everton considering PSV Eindhoven boss Phillip Cocu as Marco Silva alternative
The arrival of Dutch director of football Marcel Brands has helped throw another name in the hat

EVERTON could turn to PSV Eindhoven boss Phillip Cocu instead of Marco Silva, according to reports in the Netherlands.
Since axing Sam Allardyce for failing to gel with the fans, the Toffees have been constantly linked with the former Watford boss.
But the arrival of Dutch director of football Marcel Brands has helped throw another name in the hat.
Former Barcelona midfielder Cocu has just won his third Dutch title and Algemeen Dagblad claim he could look to Merseyside for a new challenge.
Brands held the same role at PSV for eight years before making the move to Goodison - helping to appoint Cocu and working successfully with the 47-year-old.
The ex-Holland international has one year left on his PSV deal and admitted – after lifting his most recent trophy – that he could be lured away.
He said: “There will come a time when another club comes along.
“I only think about things when they come on my path. Is this the right time, is it the right club?"

Cocu was mentored by former Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal and is a close friend of Frank de Boer who had a nightmare spell at Crystal Palace which could put him off cut-throat Premier League.
Speaking about watching his former team-mate last just 77 days and five matches, Cocu told de Volkskrant: "We talked about that.
“They have been gigantic experiences for him as a coach. Annoying experiences.
“But he also learned a lot and you never know in advance how such an adventure goes.
“One club relieves the trainer quickly, the other is more steadfast and follows his line.
“I'll look at those kinds of aspects. I do not exclude that I take the step, but I feel that I can achieve a lot at PSV. A longer European adventure for example.”
