GARETH BALE scored the best goal in Champions League final history after being devastated to start the game on the bench.
Against Premier League Liverpool, the former Southampton and Tottenham men was relegated to the sidelines by manager Zinedine Zidane.
But he was sent on after 61 minutes and bicycle-kicked his way into the history books seconds later.
Marcelo's cross was deflected skywards and Bale somehow performed an acrobatic masterclass to beat Loris Karius.

To add to the magic of the strike, the greatest Champions League final goal before Saturday night in Kiev came in 2002 from Zidane, who overlooked Bale again in Ukraine.
But far from being sour, the French Real Madrid boss celebrated wildly on the touchline as his side snatched the league back with such a glorious strike. And he scored a second with seven minutes left after another Loris Karius howler.
If it was to Bale's last act for Real Madrid, he certainly bowed out in style.
