Jermaine Pennant says Steven Gerrard and Jamie Carragher would have treated Loris Karius ’20 times worse’ than current Liverpool players
Pennant initially tweeted after the Champions League final that he felt sorry for all of Liverpool's players 'apart from the goalkeeper'
JERMAINE PENNANT defended his pop at Loris Karius by claiming Steven Gerrard and Jamie Carragher would have been "20 times worse" in a dressing room.
Pennant initially tweeted after the Champions League final that he felt sorry for all of Liverpool's players "apart from the goalkeeper."
The former Liverpool winger then posted a mocked up picture of the cock-up keeper holding up the trophy while among Real players.
After taking a load of stick from Twitter users, an unrepentant Pennant suggested Gerrard and Carragher would not have gone easy on Karius had they been his team-mates.
The German did, however, get an arm around his shoulder from Reds legend Carragher as he made his way from the pitch and down the tunnel.
THE GREAT ESCAPE Loris Karius makes swift exit from Liverpool, jetting off just hours after returning to Merseyside
Pennant tweeted: "Ok ok you think I was harsh... I’ll tell you know Stevie G or Carra would of been 20x worse in that dressing room, FACT!!!
"They used to go nuts in training never mind a Champions League final, so pipe the f*** down the lot of you."
Pennant, 35, left Billericay Town in February just hours after The Sun revealed he was starring in webcam sex shows with his glamour model wife.
