Manchester United, Man City and Liverpool to battle Serie A’s big guns for Fiorentina wonderkid Federico Chiesa

Winger made Italy debut in the recent friendly defeat to Argentina at the Etihad and is tipped for a bright future in game

MANCHESTER UNITED, Man City and Liverpool are all chasing Fiorentina wonderkid Federico Chiesa, according to reports in Italy.

The winger, 20, is considered one of the brightest young players in his homeland after and impressive campaign with La Viola.

He made his international debut in the recent friendly defeat to Argentina at the Etihad — and is wanted by all of Italy's top sides.

While report he is also being watched by three of the Premier League's top four.

Fiorentina have already turned down a bid of £35million plus Stephan El Shaarawy from Roma, with Napoli's offer of £44m with a player of their choosing on top also deemed not good enough.

Inter Milan and Juventus are also  in the running for the latest golden boy to emerge at the Artemio Franchi.

Federico Bernardeschi completed an acrimonious switch to rivals Juventus last summer, which the fans still haven't forgotten.

The winger, whose position on-and-off the pitch was taken on by Chiesa this season, became a hate figure among the Fiorentina fans for the move, having been hailed a hero while at the club.

Chiesa made his debut at the beginning of the 2016-17 season, with 27 appearances that campaign.

However, it was his performances in what was a difficult past term for Fiorentina with the tragic passing of Davide Astori, that he showed his class.

Chiesa is known for his dribbling and ability to cut in from the left and, in testing times, he stepped up despite his young age to help guide La Viola to an impressive seventh-place finish.

He is the son of ex-Italy international Enrico, who play at Euro 96 and scored in Parma's 1999 Cup Winners' Cup triumph over Marseille.
