ENGLAND are the only side in the upcoming World Cup to have their entire squad play in their own domestic league.
All 23 Three Lions currently ply their trade in the Premier League, as only a handful of English stars currently play abroad.
Jadon Sancho is arguably the only star playing outside of England with a sniff of making the squad, but even then he was never really in Gareth Southgate's plans.
Meanwhile, there are two nations - Senegal and Sweden - who have NONE of their 23-man squad play in their own domestic divisions.
In fact, half the teams at the summer tournament have three or fewer stars in their own league, while only six countries even crack double figures.
Arguably the biggest national side near the bottom of the standings are Belgium - with just ONE star still playing in his own country, Leander Dendoncker.
The likes of Kevin De Bruyne, Eden Hazard and Romelu Lukaku all play in the Premier League, while other stars are scattered around the Bundesliga, Ligue 1 and even China.
Second to England in the standings are Russia - who have 21 of their 23-man squad play in their home nation.
HIT SQUAD World Cup squads announced 2018: Germany, Brazil, France, and all 32 nations' final selections revealed
Saudi Arabia are third with 20, with Spain (19) and Germany (15) not far behind, while tournament favourites Brazil lag behind on just three.
Yet it's England - and the Premier League - leading the way, with a 100 per cent correlation... but will that breed success at the tournament?
