CELTIC have shattered their transfer record to clinch the signing of Odsonne Edouard in a £10million deal.
The Hoops have been locked in talks with PSG in order to land the French striker this summer.
And it's believed the double Treble winners have splashed out a club- record fee to land the 20-year-old.
That dwarfs the £6m paid for John Hartson, Neil Lennon and Chris Sutton.
The news of Edouard's four-year contract - announced this afternoon - will thrill Brendan Rodgers, who had been desperate to get his man.
The player also made it clear that he wanted to stay at Parkhead after hitting 11 goals in 29 games.
Speaking after Edouard's Ibrox winner in March, Rodgers said: “He is one of the best young players I have worked with - his movement, his touch, his all-round play.
"He has made himself a hero with the Celtic supporters, which is great for him."
Celtic discovered this morning that they will kick-off their Scottish Premiership title defence at home to Livingston on Sunday 5 August.
The first Old Firm clash of the campaign takes place on September 1.
