ALVARO MORATA has emerged as a target for Borussia Dortmund this summer, according to reports in Germany.
The Spanish striker's future at Chelsea is uncertain after a turbulent first season in English football.
Morata scored six goals in his first six games in the Premier League but managed only five in the 25 appearances that followed.
Dortmund had been targeting another Chelsea player.
Belgian Michy Batshuayi enjoyed a successful loan spell at the Westfalenstadion in the second half of last season.
And Dortmund had been keen on making the move permanent but their interest has cooled.

According to German newspaper , Morata is now one of the club's main targets this summer, as well as Werder Bremen's Max Kruse and Salzburg's Hwang Hee-Chan.
Morata's price tag may prove a stumbling block, though.
Chelsea paid £60million for the 25-year-old last season and will want to recoup most of that should they let him leave.
The West London club brought in Olivier Giroud in the January transfer window, and the Frenchman emerged as Antonio Conte's preferred striker.
Reports have suggested Chelsea are keen on bringing in another goal-scorer this summer, with Gonzalo Higuain and Robert Lewandowski linked with a move.
That puts a question mark over Morata's future and will fuel Dortmund's interest.
