Huddersfield eye double swoop for Leicester ace Ahmed Musa and Hertha Berlin’s Marvin Plattenhardt
HUDDERSFIELD are reportedly looking at bringing Leicester forward Ahmed Musa and Hertha Berlin left-back Marvin Plattenhardt to the John Smith's Stadium.
David Wagner is keen on bolstering his side ahead of the Terriers' second season back in the top-flight, and has identified the two World Cup stars as potential recruits.
Musa, 25, netted twice for Nigeria in Russia as the Super Eagles narrowly missed out on a place in the last-16.
Plattenhardt started for Germany in their opening group game against Mexico but didn't feature again before the World Cup holders crashed out at the hands of South Korea.
And according to the , the duo are on the radar of Huddersfield, who are vying to bring them to the club.
Former CSKA Moscow star Musa has struggled since joining the Foxes for £16.6million two years ago - netting just five times in 33 games.
He has just two years left on his contract at the King Power Stadium, and has been deemed surplus to requirements by Claude Puel.
But they face competition from Fulham, who are also interested in the 2013 African Cup of Nations winner.
Huddersfield are also determined to nab Plattenhardt after a move for his compatriot and Borussia Dortmund defender Erik Durm fell through.
Plattenhardt, 26, is also being tracked by Bournemouth and Everton, after starring for Berlin last campaign.
