BARCELONA will reportedly target Chelsea star N’Golo Kante as a replacement for Andres Iniesta.
Gianluca Di Marzio claims the French midfielder could be heading to the Nou Camp this summer as Barca look to strengthen their squad for the new La Liga season.
The Spanish champs have already brought in Brazilian prodigy Arthur to replace Paulinho.
But they are yet to fill the void left by Iniesta’s departure, with the likes of PSG’s Adrien Rabiot heavily linked in recent days.
However, it’s now said that Ernesto Valverde could head in a new direction and bring in tough-tackling Kante instead of another playmaker.
The former Leicester ace has been superb during his two seasons at Stamford Bridge.

And following Antonio Conte’s departure, Kante could decide the time is right to try his luck elsewhere.
However, Barcelona will have to pay through the nose to bring him to the Catalan capital, with Kante highly regarded to be the best in his position in the world.
The report adds that Portuguese flop Andre Gomes could be included to help smooth over the deal.
Barcelona have also made a second bid for Chelsea winger Willian, and incoming boss Maurizio Sarri could face a fight to keep some of the club’s biggest stars in his new squad.
