LUKE SHAW has reportedly rejected a move to Everton in order to fight for his Manchester United future.
The 23-year-old left-back’s career has stalled at Old Trafford under Jose Mourinho.
The Portuguese boss is believed to have deemed the ex-Southampton man as surplus to requirements.
However, claim Shaw still thinks he can win back his place in the Red Devils’ starting XI.
And that he turned down an approach from Everton to try to revive his fortunes at Goodison Park.
That is despite the fact Mourinho is looking to improve his defensive options before the new Premier League campaign gets underway against Leicester at Old Trafford on Friday 10 August.
Some reports claim he has already agreed a deal to sign Juventus' Brazilian star Alex Sandro – a direct replacement for Shaw.
The England international has suffered a frustrating time at United since his £30million arrival from the Saints in 2014.
His progress was curtailed by an horrific injury early on and he has struggled to regain top form since.
He only has one year to go on his contract with the Red Devils.
